What goes wrong on photoshoots ^^

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 15, 2009, 2:36 PM

Hello. It's finally getting warm! I felt like it was a never ending winter of doom. But now it's not so depressing anymore.

My last journal had an upsetting video so I wanted to put a better one on this journal. It's really funny. A cop gets high on pot and calls 911 because he thinks he's dead. (The fact that both videos have cops really is just a coincidence!)

My last photo shoot was so fun! Before hand, I bought bobby pins, turns out they were all broken! I met Lauren at the location and suddenly my uncle comes out of the woods and says hi! It's great to see him but what are the chances that you go somewhere then suddenly your uncle comes out of the woods? It was so weird! But fun. I haven't see him in so long!

The bobby pin thing made me want to make a list of things that have gone wrong on photo shoots. It's always something! It's really funny so I wanted to share. Let's see if I can remember...

1. Lens of my glasses popped out while leaving for the shoot. Did not have the model's phone number to call and say I needed to get it fixed! RUSHED to get it fixed, and rushed to the shoot.

2. Bought balloons the day before hand. Left for the shoot and saw they had all DEFLATED. Rushed to get more!

3. Went to see a pretty view and found BONES. Then heard weird animal noises. LEFT. Got stuck in traffic as two cars stopped in the middle of the road to talk to each other. (Both things are normal in Ishpeming)

4. Of course buying the bobby pins that where defective. All of them broken off at one end.

Oh well I know there is a ton more but I can't think of um all.

Random thought: I think the saddest job in the world would belong to those people who build sets for hollywood movies that just get blown up and destroyed. After making things so realistic and putting in all that effort and detail .... BOOM, it's gone. I wonder if they tell them before hand it's going to be blown up. I don't think I'd want to know!

Your post reminded me of a shoot I did a while ago. I wrote about it on my blog:

bones and animal sounds? Uncles coming out of the woods? It sounds like you are living in a bad movie... :)

Bad weather must be a real pain for you since you do so many outdoor portraits.

haha, personally,
if i took all that time to build a nice set and spent forever on it, i think i may eventually get annoyed at it because id have to make sure it was perfect. id be glad to watch it blow up!!!

haha, but i do see your point, i would still be a little sad. but glad to know that when people watched it and were like, wow did you see that building blow up?! that was SOO cool!!!! id feel pretty good :3 hahaa
